Sale Highlighted Property from the Collection of Theodore and Dede Edlich

On November 7, 2007, Doyle New York held an auction of European Art. The sale showcased works by a wide variety of prominent European artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. Highlighting the sale was property from the Collection of Theodore and Dede Edlich of New York, including works by Henri Matisse and Egon Schiele. With strong international competition from telephone bidders and buyers in the salesroom, the European Art section of the sale totaled $914,800 with a remarkable 83% sold by lot and 88% sold by value.
