Angelo Madrigale joined Doyle New York in 2011 as Registrar for the Paintings Department. He is currently the Specialist for Doyle New Yorks Street Art auction category.
Born in Delaware, Angelo was raised in Pennsylvania, where his father worked in Design and Development at Knoll on projects with such designers as Robert Venturi and Joe D'Urso. Angelo grew up immersed in art and design, beginning with private tutoring in fine art and musical percussion at age 8. At age 9, Angelo starred in the New World Pictures film, "Time of Tears," which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 1987. He would later record and tour nationally in several rock and jazz bands throughout the 1990s and 2000s, which led to a recording contract with Warner Bros in Japan.
In 2005, Angelo and his wife Lisa opened Metropolis Gallery in Pennsylvania, which showcased works by Emerging Contemporary Artists together with Modern and Contemporary Design. The gallery was named one of the worlds Top 100 Galleries by Juxtapoz Magazine in 2010.
Angelo earned a BFA in Related Arts from Kutztown University. He was also an adjunct Professor at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, where he created and taught the courses, "Understanding the Global Contemporary Art Market" and "The Business of Art."
