On April 23, 2012, Doyle New York held a successful auction of Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints. Highlighting the sale was the charming color lithograph, Le Chapeau Epingle, 2e Planche, by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, that fetched $53,125, far surpassing its estimate of $20,000-30,000.

With competitive international bidding from buyers in the salesroom, on the telephones and on the Internet, the sale totaled $539,344 against a pre-sale estimate of $432,600-652,100, with 75% sold by lot and 92% by value.

All prices include the buyer's premium.
