NEWBURGH NATIONAL NUMBER 1 BANK NOTES
A Highlight of the bank notes will be a recent discovery of Large and Small Size National Bank Notes from the Orange County Bank of Newburgh, Highland-Quassaick, Charter # 1106. Original chartered in 1865, with titles one and two, then again in 1926 and 1927, with a third title, of which there are NINE with serial number 1, including a $20 Plain Back, Fr. 650. There are also two uncut sheets of Small size, which we believe to be previously unknown. They are a sheet of 6 of the $5 Serial # A000002A-F00000A and a sheet of 6 of the $20 Serial # A000001-A000006 Condition throughout is excellent with possibly the finest known notes of this issue , such as the $10, Plain Back, Fr. 624.
