Assembled Pair of American Gothic Revival Carved Mahogany Side Tables
Attributed to J.& J.W. Meeks, New York, circa 1850
Each rectangular white marble top with a molded edge above an undulating apron, raised on double barley twist legs ending in arched feet joined by a stretcher, one with remnants of its original Meeks stenciled paper label and modern label O.R. Gilbert sale/Thorn sale, acct. #7124, Bedford Village, New York, June 18, 1974. Height 30 inches, width 26 inches, depth 16 inches.
