Art Nouveau Gold and Plique-a-Jour Enamel Brooch
The large modified oval mount highlighted by the profile of a woman with wavy hair gazing at the sun setting over water, applied with blue, yellow and blue-green plique-a-jour enamel, the rays of the sun and waves of the water outlined in slender gold bands, surmounted by a gold dragonfly flying overhead and an owl perched on a branch of articulated leaves, continuing to a gold frame terminating in a flower, approximately 45.8 dwt.
Good condition. Rich yellow gold color. 2 3/8 x 3 3/16".
