Pair of Gold, Platinum, Ruby, Diamond and Cultured Pearl Shell Clips, Cartier The pair of concave ridged shells surmounted by 2 pearls approximately 5.6 mm., topped by fancy-shaped panels set with 18 round rubies approximately 1.10 cts., and 14 platinum-set old European and single-cut diamonds, signed Cartier, circa 1940, approximately 25.3 dwt. C Unsold Estimate $4,000-6,000 Rubies: deep to bright raspberry red, lively, one chipped, not visible to eye. Diamonds: J-VS. Pearls: slightly creamy, clean, good luster.
