Rail-Road building across the United States from the Atlantic to Pacific.
This consists of Coolidge manuscriopt board on linenized paper, a state map of America titles as above, measuring 17 x 24 inches (43 x 51 cm). Also included is a typed rule booklet and a set of play cards (not all complete) with typed instructions to the players. In overall very good condition.
Another example of Coolidge's fertile and innovative mind at play. Sold with a variety of ephemeral items, including a photograph of the great dancer Loie Fuller inscribed to Coolidge; Coolidge's 1864 autograph album of his friends; 2 tintype photo caricatures of Coolidge; and a small collection of other photo caricatures.
Provenance: Marcella Coolidge, daughter of the artist, by descent from the estate of the artist.
